FINDING SHELTER
(SHORT FILM)

FINDING SHELTER is a poignant narrative that explores the resilience and innocence of a young girl, Hanna, amidst the chaos of a war-torn environment. At just 10 years old, Hanna embodies the spirit of survival and loyalty that many in similar situations summon every day.

This film began as a reflection on the devastating impact of conflict on families—how it fragments their lives and the extreme decisions they are forced to make. Hanna's decision to smuggle her beloved dog, despite her father’s insistence on leaving him behind, serves as a testament to the profound bonds we form with those we love, and the lengths we go to preserve these

connections, no matter the circumstances.

The film has received the support of Toronto, Ontario and Canada Art Councils and its screenplay has received worldwide praise and attention including winning the best screenplay at Lebanese Independent Film Festival as well as  nominated for best screenplay at Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay competition.

This film is currently in post-production phase and will enter festival circuit in Sep 2024.
